About Wantage:

Wantage is located at the foot of the Berkshire Downs in the Vale of the White Horse, amidst the prime horse racing country. Today it is a great town, with good links to the A34 & M4, even though we are surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside. It is the Birthplace of King Alfred the Great in 849, and the home of Sir John Betjeman and Alice FitzWarin, wife of Dick Whittington. Our local School or College (King Alfreds) once had Lester Piggot as a pupil, and the town boasts many other interesting buildings steeped in history.

About the Instructor:

I’ve been involved in Cars all my life, with 19 Years at a local Franchised dealership involved in aftersales. I enjoy being customer focused, and have a friendly, open approach to all those I meet. I’m married with two teenage children, and I have two dogs. We all enjoy walking the wonderful countryside around our home.

I love my job,  and I get so much satisfaction from seeing my pupils progress into competent and safe drivers.

Price: Base Rate £24 per hour

Funniest Driving School Story:

I like humour in my lessons, I once recapped a pupil on her Pedestrian crossing lesson, and when I asked “what’s the difference between a pelican and a puffin”, she replied, ” Oh yes, the Puffin has the multi-coloured beak !!”
