About Chessington:

We are also failry close to the popular attractions at Chessington World of Adventures. Kingston upon Thames is also a nice place to spend the day, shopping or during the summer along by the River Thames. Hampton Court Palace is not too far away where they hold lots of events including the Hampton Court Flower Show.

Local schools include some of the best in the country, not just in the Kingston Borough, but others close by as well. These include Holy Cross, Richard Challoner, Tolworth Girls, Southborough and the recently refurbished Chessington Community College. The most difficult or nightmare junction tends to be the ace of spades roundabout. I advise pupils to look at junctions like this on google earth !

About the Instructor:

I have worked in different sectors throughout my working life and I very much enjoy meeting different types of people and teaching them to drive safely. Pupils come to me at different levels of ability from the beginner to the experienced and I find this great that I can help them acheive their goal of passing the practical driving test.

I also train Potential Driving Instructors (PDIs) and Driving Instructor Training in Tolworth and Surbiton really enjoyable. I am able to share my ADI training in Instructional Techniques /Knowledge with others. Helping someone embark on a new career to become a Driving Instructor in Kingston gives me a real sense of achievement.

Funniest Driving School Story:

Yeah got quite a few but most of them are not repeatable! One in particular stands out.

A learner was emerging onto the roundabout at Langley Avenue. He waited patiently as it was busy, when he safely started to emerge, a woman in a red Nissan pulled out onto the roundabout in front of him, stopped on the roundabout and started swearing and gesturing profanities at the learner! Everybody at the roundabout was dumbfounded at this tiny woman and I was lost for words. We both had a good laugh at this afterwards, it was all we could do!

Lauren started to learn with her local KISS driving instructor in Chessington Andy quite a while ago now! She used to live in Walton but moved to Staines!

There was quite a gap in her learning because of the move! However, she wanted me to take her to test so after a mini intensive course of 2 days she went and passed 1st time at Ashford Middlesex DTC!
