The Army Show

Off-road Driving Experience

On Saturday 2nd July KISS had a stand offering a driving experience at the very popular Aldershot Garrison Show (previously called the Army Show) in support of our KISS Driving Instructors in and around Aldershot. With many thousands of visitors attending the one day event, we hope we played our part in making it a great fun day for all the family. We gave many youngsters the opportunity to drive one of our school cars off-road and gave them a little taste of having a driving lesson.

We had 10 cars in use for most of the day in a cordoned-off area. The young – and not so young in some cases – drivers had full control and were able to drive round and through a series of road cones. This was by far the biggest event we have ever attended and in support we had around twenty of our driving instructors and instructor trainers in attendance. All local instructors from Aldershot, Basingstoke, Bordon, Bracknell, Camberley, Farnham, Farnborough, Fleet, Godalming, Guildford, Haslemere, Newbury, Slough, Reading and Woking were there as well as others from the surrounding areas.

Anyone thinking of changing their career and wanting to become a driving instructor was able to talk to any of us about our driving instructor training programme. We had on-site all of our ADI training aids to let people see how our driving instructor coaching programme is ten years ahead of most in the industry. In talking to our driving instructors, parents and pupils were able to learn how confident we are in our ability not only to teach but also compete successfully.

We had a great day out – if you were not able to visit us then contact us on one of the numbers above for more information on our instructor training or simply to book a lesson
