About Ruislip:
The name, Ruislip probably derives from the Old English words for “rush” and “leap”, meaning a place where the river Pinn was narrow enough to jump across.
Ruislip became part of “Metroland”, the area of suburban London along the railway line where thousands of homes were built in the 1930s . Metroland was advertised as a rural retreat for those who worked in central London. By 1939 the population of Ruislip-Northwood was 47,760. Despite this mushroom growth Ruislip has managed to retain much of its old character and charm.
Ruislip High Street is a real shoppers dream with many retail outlets and restaurants to suit all taste. The whole area and surrounding are home to many schools including: Swakeleys School, Uxbridge College, ACS Hillingdon International School, Harefield Academy, Ruislip Academy and Stockley Academy.
About the Instructor:
Rob became a Driving Instructor more than 7 years ago and trained very quickly and successfully, passing all three parts of the qualification exams first time. Once qualified and being an ambitious type of chap he quickly trained and qualified as an Ordit trainer (Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers). Today he lives and works in Rusilip and all surrounding areas. He holds classes and training days for KISS potential driving instructors and also has his own learner drivers .
He is equally at home on a motorbike as in a car and is a member of the Institute of Advanded Motorists – in fact he is quite a petrol head! When he is not working he is generally found relaxing with his daughter/s either at home or at his caravan in East Sussex.
Funniest Driving School Story:
Being a discreet type of person Rob doesn’t really let on about incidents that happen in-car with learner drivers or PDI’s. However, some of his colleagues do recount the story of the time he threw the pages of a sub standard training manual out of the window of his parked car whilst on a training session. Apparently the trainee driving instructor had failed to do his homework and was attempting to “train” Rob using the manual instead of his own knowledge – needless to say both left the car quite quickly.

Here we have Lucy beaming with pride holding her driving test pass certificate!
Lucy recently took her driving test at the Pinner test centre and passed with only 3 driving faults after taking driving lessons with her local Kiss driving instructor Rob Tullett from Ruislip.

Here is Lauren – she just passed her driving test at Pinner test centre at 1st attempt with only 5dfs.
Lauren was taught to drive by our KISS driving instructor and Ordit trainer, Rob from Ruislip.

Driving Instructors Ruislip – Anthony passed his driving test.

This young man ( who will remain headless!) is Anthony from Hillingdon. He has just passed his driving test at Hayes test centre. He was taught to drive by Rob from Ruislip. Rob is an excellent instructor and also is an ORDIT (Official register of Driving Instructor Trainers) but sadly his photographic skills are yet to be developed!

1st time test pass for Sudev

Another one bites the dust after 13 hours of instruction from KISS driving instructor Alec from Borehamwood. Sudev, from Ruislip, had driven in his own country and needed some more tuition to get him through his test at Borehamwood test centre. Which he did in style………….
