About Wimborne:
Wimborne Minster (locally referred to as Wimborne) is a market town in Dorset, South West England. The town is twinned with Valognes, France and Ochsenfurt, Germany. The central town had a population of 6,418 according to the 2001 census and is situated at the confluence of the River Stour and River Allen, five miles north of Poole.
The towns two most popular schools are Corfe Hills School and Queen Elizabeths School. Every year in June the town holds a folk festival which is majorly popular with residents of Wimborne and many tourists visit every year for the spectacle.
The Mountbatten roundabout , Wallistown is a bit of a nightmare at times but as our pupils are training on the roundabout it quickly becomes a piece of cake once you understand the procedure, and therefore other roundabouts lose their fear factor for pupils.
About the Instructor:
Neil retired from the RAF in 1995 and from there went onto work as a senior transport fleet engineer (haulage) for BOC, Scania and First Group. He has been a keen participant in sport all his life with a special regard for Rugby Union. He owns a Harley Davidson motorcycle and is often found riding the glorious country around Wimborne for pleasure and also to raise money for local charities.
